This is truly a Peoples Festival run 100%  by volunteers! Every area of our event relies on the commitment and dedication of folks just like you! Volunteering at The Peoples Festival is a Family Affair; Mom, Dad and children come together here, working in our Childrens Village, Water Vending Booth or Merchandizing are a great places to bring the kids and practice the spirit of volunteerism.

 

CHILDREN’S VILLAGE 

Coordinator is long-time member of our festival crew. Dr. Nafara Thompson is a elementary school teacher. Her passion and creativity make our Childrens Village one of the most popular areas of the festival for kids of all ages. she would love to hear from you. Her team fills up quick so dont hesitate! If you have skills in face-painting, drumming, African dance, arts and craft, chalk artetc. we can use you!

 

SALES & MERCHANDISING 

If your strength lies in sales, boy do we need you!! Please contact us so you can start now to earn a great commission on all ads and promotional booth sales. Our souvenir book touches thousands each year and is keep sake for most of our attendees. Help us fill this book with companies and organizations that need to reach our audience. Members of this crew also man our Merchandising booth on the day of the event, selling our shirts, and other fundraising items. Bring your friends and work as a team to raise much needed funds for The Peoples Festival.

 

BEER GARDEN

This crew is critical to the success of our event. This area is our biggest fundraiser in the gates of The Peoples Festival. No beer drinking is allowed and you must be quick to spot potential problems. Be able to tell when someone has had enough and know how to serve the public. This area works from noon till 10 p.m.

 

GATE KEEPERS 

Gate Keepers are our Welcome Committee you are the first faces seen at the festival, it is so important that you are in right spirit and mind as you greet our patrons at the gate. Taking tickets, money and putting on wrist bands. Our gate is open from 1 to 9:30 p.m. we have two, four and a half hour shifts. Bring your friends and join this high powered team. SECURITY FORCE

This team helps us to keep the festival in a cool vibe and one love mode. We are simply here to re-enforce our commitment to Unity and Love. We work to ensure that our patrons have a safe and enjoyable day! This team is on board from 11 a.m. till 10 p.m. in five hour shifts. Team Captain is Abran Pitts.
